the granoff is an interesting building. its visually forward thinking, aiming towards tommorow. yet the building is always occupied by repairmen because as most things are many components of the building are digital and/or mechanical. my favorite mechanical part of the granoff are the blinds that come down and black out light (a facade of the granoff facing sun is large windows). it makes me think of some of the buildings at u chicago which are designed to protect intellectuals in time of revolution.
